Karen Cook

Karen has been a registered nurse for over 40 years and has retired twice so far. Clearly this is not a life choice that suits her.

Currently she is working for both ANMAC and the WHO Collaborating Centre for nursing and midwifery at the University of Technology in Sydney. And as you can see, she is also working as an MC.

Prior to her first retirement she was Senior Nursing and Midwifery Adviser in the Office of the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer in the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care. She has held positions as Nursing Adviser at Health Workforce Australia and Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council.

In her spare time Karen is a marriage celebrant, chorister and busy grandmother.
