Lesley Radloff

Aunt Lesley Radloff (Kairi Nation – Maternal, Springsure and Carnarvon Gorge region, Qld; Yuuwaalaray/Euahlayi Nation – Paternal, Dirranbandi, Qld), born in Townsville, raised in Springsure and institutionalised in Rockhampton (Stolen Generation Survivor).

Aunt Lesley has been involved in Indigenous affairs on a national basis for most of her career and lectured at various universities and TAFE colleges in Queensland, New South Wales and Western Australia. Aunty Lesley has worked in the Western Australia education department for twenty plus years in management and education positions. Aunt has been a regional co-ordinator and national post intervention advocate for Thirrili WA/SA. In addition to national work, Aunt Lesley has lectured and worked extensively with Indigenous nations in the Pacific region and Canada, focusing on Indigenous arts, copyright, royalty issues, education, Indigenous suicide postvention and general involvement in community arts.

Aunt Lesley’s qualifications include Masters Arts Indigenous Sector Management (ECU); Graduate Certificate Indigenous Sector Management (ECU), Advanced Diploma Indigenous Leadership (AILC), Professional Diploma Teaching English as Second Language (AIT), Cert IV Train Small Groups, Workplace Assessment and, Certificate III Media Studies (Noongar Radio).

Over the years, Aunt Lesley has been a member of a variety of boards and committees and is the current Chair of the Australian Indigenous Leadership Centre (AILC).
