Getting to and around Perth

Flying to Perth

Perth Airport is an approximate 20-minute drive from the Perth CBD. Direct flights are offered to and from Australian domestic destinations including Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Adelaide, Canberra, and Hobart. Perth is serviced by over 30 international and domestic airlines.

Taxi ranks are located at the front of all terminals.

DiDi, Ola, and Uber ridesharing services are available at Perth Airport. Dedicated rideshare pick-up bays are within easy walking distance of each terminal.

Getting around Perth

Transperth is Perth’s public transport network. Perth City has a Free Transit Zone (FTZ) for buses and a SmartRider FTZ for trains.

Sandalford Winery Cellar Door Tasting Experience, Swan Valley

Swan Valley Wine Trail Just 20 minutes east of Perth, the Swan Valley and Darling Range is a world away from city life. You can reach it by road or take the scenic route aboard a Swan River cruise from Perth’s Barrack Street Jetty. You can even winery-hop in a horse-drawn wagon or chauffeured classic car.

Couple beer tasting at Little Creatures Brewery, Fremantle

Little Creatures Brewing A huge shed (and former crocodile farm) on the water’s edge in Fremantle was to become the home of this beer and the birthplace of Little Creatures Brewing. Work began in 1999 and we swung the doors open in late 2000. Grab a pint & a pizza and soak in the brewery atmosphere or wander out into the backyard and enjoy your beer in the sunshine.

Fortress Adventure Tour with Segway Tours WA, Rottnest

Rottnest Island is where you can be amongst the world’s largest quokka population. Their story is literally written in the land. The name ‘Rottnest’ comes from 17th-century Dutch explorers who considered the animals to be large rats and bestowed the island, ‘Rat’s Nest’. There are plenty of adventures to be had at Rottnest Island. Optus Stadium This world class entertainment facility, right here in Perth, offers spectators a ‘fan-first’ approach in both design and technology. The Stadium hosts AFL, soccer, rugby league and union as well as some of the world’s biggest musicians. Voted as the Most Beautiful Sports Facility in the World in 2019, Optus Stadium is more than just a place to visit on event day.

Free Perth Walking Tour The iCity Volunteer Hosts help visitors discover the City of Perth. They staff the City of Perth Information Kiosk located in the Murray Street Mall at the intersection of Forrest Place and are on hand every day to answer questions about the city.
