The Department of Health and Aged Care is working with health professionals, consumers and governments to develop a Nurse Practitioner 10 Year Plan. The purpose of the Plan is to describe a set of actions that can be taken to address nurse practitioner workforce issues of national significance and enhance the delivery of nursing care and increase access to health and aged care for the Australian community. This workshop will provide delegates with an opportunity to provide advice to the Department on potential actions for consideration in the Plan from a remote area health perspective.
